Coronavirus: message from the chairman

Radley Village Shop is pleased to be able to help you through the coronavirus pandemic. We will keep going for as long as we can. We hope that you and your family are keeping safe and well.

We all owe a great debt of gratitude to our manager John Goodenough and to all of our dedicated volunteers who are working hard, at personal risk, to keep the shop open with the limited stocks that are available from our suppliers so that you are able to benefit. We hope you understand why we have had to impose limits on the number of individual items that you are able to buy at one visit. We are not apologising for that. Unfortunately, we have seen incidents of bulk buying so we have to protect what we have so that all of our customers have a chance to buy something.

Radley Village Shop is demonstrating what an important resource it is in the village and we hope that you appreciate the efforts that are being made. None of the volunteers, or John, is benefitting from the shop or getting preferential access to supplies.

If you are one of our dedicated, regular, customers thank you for supporting the shop through what is the most challenging period since the shop opened.

If you are a new customer who has discovered the shop during this time of crisis, welcome, we are doing our best to make sure that you are able to find something here that may not be available on the supermarket shelves. Please remember to keep shopping with us when normal times return and even consider becoming a volunteer, to ensure the future of Radley Village Shop.
