Grants to local organisations
Under its constitution as a non-profitmaking community co-operative, Radley Village Shop Association can use any annual surplus to build up its reserves or to give money to projects with a social or charitable purpose within the community served by the Shop. Every year since 2012, members at the AGM in May have approved the management committee’s recommendation to give grants totalling £1000 to local groups from the previous year’s surplus. At the AGM in October 2020, members also voted to set aside to a further £1,000 for grants on request from local groups within the period up to the next AGM in May 2021.
