New book, ‘The Radley Lakes Story’, now on sale

The Radley Lakes Story is a new addition to the Shop’s range of local publications.

Published in March 2025 and with proceeds from its sale going to a local charity, The Radley Lakes Trust, the book marks 20 years since the Save Radley Lakes campaign began. The richly illustrated book introduces the geology, archaeology, history and wildlife of the Radley Lakes area, and tells the story of the battle between 2005 and 2008 to save Thrupp and Bullfield Lakes from being filled with coal ash from Didcot Power Station.  Of interest to anyone who wants to know more about this special place, the book costs £16.99
